To me, it would appear Gannets live a tortuous life, residing in a vast colony (or gannetry) enveloped in chaos. The gannetry is raucous, the pungent smell of rotting fish fills the nostrils with human waste often lining their nests. But out of the mire, shutting off the chaos, pairs of gannets rise above in resplendent fashion to reaffirm their bond for one another.
